Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

What a sickening collection of rich fuckers.

It's amazing how money tends to attract and concentrate the worst of humanity.

The only one that stands out is Steve Bannon: he already looked like a fucking tramp picked right off the street even in those days.

Capitalism is an economic system that literally incentivizes and rewards sociopathic traits and behaviors.

This kind of shit is simply inevitable under capitalism.

No, this is what wealth does to the vast majority of people. Because never being satisfied is a near universal human trait.

We prevent it, by preventing wealth/power imbalances to this extreme level.

If we don't understand why a terrible thing keeps happy, well never stop experiencing it.

The leader of a huge pedophile ring meets the Epsteins.

Interesting how Clinton was included in these, almost as if they wanted to blunt the impact for Taco.

Guess what? Don't give a FUCK. Go after Clinton if it warrants it, I don't have a dog in that hunt. But he's not holding office right now. Pedonald IS. Make him the priority.

And so on for others named in these headlines and stories. I don't give a fuck about Gates, either....not the priority here, but I also don't give a fuck if he's eventually investigated, too.

What's up with all the glasses here, he's wearing a pair, has a pair by his hands and three on lanyards in an ashtray. Did he not have bifocals or something

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Those are for the children so they can't see the wrinkles.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

So he can find trumps tiny mushroom

[–] MeekerThanBeaker@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I have bifocals for distance and close up, but the close up is annoying for a monitor, I have to look through the bottom of the lenses meaning tilting my head to see the screen clearly.

I need one pair strictly for the monitor which also has blue light blocking capability. Those are probably the ones in his hand.

As far as the glasses in lanyards go... I dunno. Maybe for visitors who need to read a document who forgot their own reading glasses?

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Same. And Rx sunglasses to boot.

Getting old sucks.

[–] MeekerThanBeaker@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They are working on glasses that focus automatically depending on what you're looking at... so maybe those will do the trick.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Oh god yes please!!!!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago

That would be fantastic. Well, the very best thing would be sight restoration to full normalcy or even better than normal.

Loaners for anyone else who needs to look like they're part of an insightful conversation

I'd like to see people start captioning this deep conversation by the way, LOL.
