Possibly by going on the nostupidquestions community and asking?

God I hope so

Books / audiobooks "myanonamouse" is king and they have regular open sign ups. Just do a search for them to find out when the sign ups are scheduled and you will need to do an easy induction interview on the day and that is pretty much it.

From what I hear it is one of the easiest private trackers to keep your ratio up etc but I have no basis of comparison as that is the only private tracker I am part of.

fearnopeer.com has open sign ups from time to time. I'd say the media is mostly movies and TV. The platform is UNIT3D and they manage their community via forums and IRC. I have invites, but I've not wanted to give them to randos because, well, they are tied to me and if I let shitheads in, that jeopardizes me. Not saying you need to woo me or anything, but if you can convince me that you'll have good torrent etiquette and/or ability to financially support the group, I can shoot an invite your direction.

Turn away from torrents and embrace usenet for visual media. Regarding books you need to go with IRC. PM for deets if unclear.

yes but there are often deals that make it pretty cheap to grab a couple subs, just missed the black friday deals, might still be a few around
