MODERATORS
Today's game is some more Project Zomboid. It turns out who I thought was Cable was actually Carley Mangrove. I had forgotten my friend wanted to try a different build, so Cable is on a "Apocalyptic Bible Cult Retreat", which explains how he lost all his skills. Anyways, we had gotten Carley a prosthetic, and she looks bad ass as fuck with it. She's still getting used to using it, but my friend who controls her is glad to have her back to full strength.
We made a quick run to the pharmacy near town. We took trash bags and basically just grabbed whatever we could get and then drove off. Town was a lot more crowded than usual. We might have to steal a cop car and stock up on shotgun shells to clean up a little bit.
We spent the entire rest of the day cleaning up the base. I built a second floor to the shack and even plastered and painted it, which is nice. It was lacking a window, and I just learned I can install windows on buildings I make myself. I had assumed you just couldn't, but nope. It is an option. You just steal them from another house with a crowbar. Now that I think about it, you could really fuck up another player’s build just by stealing their window. Though, at that point, you could just sledgehammer it down too.
We ended for the night by installing some furniture for him. We've got to get him a Lamp next time but we put a fridge in there, a bed, and a table. He was going to put some "ambient clutter" on the table and stuff too later.
Some people find it to be repetitive and low effort, which, as much as I love doing these, I can understand their perspective. The last few days have been mostly Halo and Zomboid (and Shadow of Mordor one time) while I finish the move over to CachyOS. So I kind of understand where they're coming from.
I still enjoy it though, and as long as other people are enjoying it, I'll probably keep going (or until life requires too much time of me).
Not only playing a game every day, but also writing about it, isn't low effort by any means. I'm lucky if I get to gaming once every two weeks, let alone write about it.
Day 503 of waiting for Indie Stone to re-instate multiplayer on the game you're playing?
Tbf the only broken multiplayer is on the opt in unstable branch. It's not like b41 mp vanished.
My issue is mostly that this is a "Mo money mo problems" situation. I did single player for B42 and I REALLY liked it. Going back to B41 is like swapping back to 480p from UHD.
That's a self-inflicted wound brother. It's like playing a leaked copy of a game before release.
That's really the only thing keeping us from jumping ship to Build 42. Once it gets it I don't think there's much keeping us from switching over, especially with all the new building stuff
Ah boooo. I didn't realize build 42 didn't have multiplayer. Literally just suggested this to a friend. Guess I'll continue to wait to play with somebody.

I didn't discover this game until a few years ago, it blew my mind to find out it used to be 2D. I kind of want to go check out the oldest builds just to see what it's like
You can using the steam beta builds feature. I believe it's the earliest one.
