Information published about the show by London Palladium included further warnings of ‘imitation blood' and 'some violence'
Fan Gerald Dixon told The Sun: “What next? A warning that the hit musical includes catchy tunes?

“This nonsense is enough to make anyone utter the Lord's name in vain.”

This is an article about a different newspaper's quote from a random person who didn't like that the musical had a warning about fake blood.

I'm not from the UK, is The Standard known for being a content mill?

"As someone who's never seen it, nor heard anything about it, I think the whole musical is stupid."

Well the Bible IS nonsense, so that squares

Nonsense!? I found Jesus Christ Superstar to be quite theologically sound. My Catholic grandmother agrees.

The random person on the street that a paper interviewed said that the content warnings were nonsense, not that a warning says that the show is nonsense.

A warning saying the show is nonsense would be reasonable. In my opinion, religion, or anything else that requires belief in something despite contradictory evidence is, by definition, nonsense.

The show is pretty blatant in the stance that Jesus was just a normal (non-magical, not a god) human philosopher who was a little mentally unwell, and how he started to believe the tall tales that other people were telling about him.

Do you think that Jesus Christ Superstar is an evangelical piece or something?

Disclaimer: I didn't see the musical, but assume it follows the story from the Bible.

I don't care. It's a fictional story that involves torture, murder and blood.

If movies are labeled as triggering that involve torture, murder and blood, why not this show?

Is it mostly Christians moaning about this?
