I have been trying to find a PeerTube instance so I can upload music my son's band performs.

I signed up to 5 different PeerTube instances over the past two weeks. 4 of them have not accepted or rejected my application, despite all of their pages saying the accept within 24-48 hours. The fifth instance denied my application with, "read the coc and reapply". I had read it before applying, but I read it again and reapplied, it was again denied with the same reason given.

I would like to find an instance for music, preferably not hosted in the US.

Don't know what instance that is specifically, but if their application process is anything like reddthat's lemmy application process, there's probably a bit in there about something specific you're supposed to include in the application so they can weed out bots.

Same. I've tried two, looking to upload transport and design videos. No answer, stuck after confirming email address.

Eventually, I'll set up a host and a donations account, but it's a faff I've not got time for right now.

I've been using makertube.net as a non-posting user for now, and they say they are open for new content creators, though it requires contacting them. I don't know if it is one of those that remain silent, but i've seen quite a bunch of creators on it.

I'm on that one, it's great!

my-sunshine.video is one with no restrictions and has open registration. Don't know about others.

My go-to is spectra.video, run by deadsuperhero@lemmy.ml

I've gone through a similar experience with two instances. Eventually they both approved. It just took them ages. Of course I needed only one.

Send us your channel later so I can add replication to your videos on my peertube instance if I feel like it ;)

Mine is https://peertube.nadeko.net/ if anyone is wondering but is more for myself than other people.

fijxu@programming.dev nadeko... Why does that sound familiar? I think you used to host a Canadian Invidious instance I used to use! 😂

[–] Fijxu@programming.dev 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yes, I killed Canada, not worth to host a backend there anymore :3

Yes, I killed Canada

Holy shit, that's like Hitler levels of evil.

I use peertube.wtf and have had no issues if thats of help. There's an artist on peertube who posts his music I'll see if I can check what instance he's on...

He's on communitymedia.video :)

Hope either of these are helpful suggestions :)

Wich ones did you apply to? Just so that we don't recommend the same ones you've tried...
