I think a lot of people are really taking AI as more functional that it currently is. I think the bubble is gonna burst in more ways than one

Based on everything that has been explained about the great benefits of ai one would be inclined to think so. It's being sold as a necessary and inevitable evolution that we should embrace. The country is investing in it and has made much of our economy revolve around it. It would make sense to reap these fruits and allow your people to evolve and grow with this new ability, making way for other uses of time. Certainly they'll be investing in US citizens after AI :)
