Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene became a household name in the run up to the 2020 election for divisive rhetoric, political stunts and enthusiastic support of President Trump. But after growing disagreements with Trump during his second term, Greene announced she will leave Congress in January before her term is up.

Greene said it would not be fair to her northwest Georgia district, one of the most conservative in the country, to have them "endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for" while noting that "Republicans will likely lose the midterms."

Greene's split with Trump widened in recent weeks as she pushed for the release of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

She's trying to rehab her image, these are not the actions that a person who wants to truly change. Marjorie Taylor Greene is never going to change her racist, conspiracy fueled ideologies. She'll just temporarily seem like a rational and reasonable person, try to make the far right lose their moment due to SPITE, not from a well-meaning place. A great Youtube creator, Parkrose Permaculture is calling out this common behavior we've seen from MTG.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_pension

As of 2019, members who participated in the congressional pension system are vested after five years of service.

Elected in Dec 2020, sworn in January 3 2021. Re-elected Nov 2024, resigning effective January 5 2026, mere days after her pension eligibility kicked in.

She's a fucking grifter. End of story.
