This community is mostly for discussion and news. Remember to search for the thing you're submitting before posting to see if it's already been posted.
We want to keep the quality of posts high. Therefore, memes, funny videos, low-effort posts and reposts are not allowed. We prohibit giveaways because we cannot be sure that the person holding the giveaway will actually do what they promise.
5. Mark Spoilers and NSFW
Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.
No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.
6. No linking to piracy
Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.
We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

MODERATORS
Today's game is some more Assassin's Creed III Remastered. I went through New York and got some more collectibles. I need to really set down and get them because besides that i just have to grab the feathers and do the Story (and naval missions). The liberation missions are more annoying though in New York. It feels like there's far more of them here than in Boston, so every time i so much as look at a British Soldier wrong it turns into an all out brawl.
If you look at the mini-map you'll see exactly what i mean. I trespass once and bam, like 20 soldiers up my ass. I just wanted a chest man.
My favorite so far has been the Small Pox ones, because no one gets angry at you for carrying a sick person. So while slow, it's far less of a hassle. Plus doing a public service like this is nice, though Connor touching them without any sort of protection perturbs me.
But basically, all I've been up too is collecting collectibles. An easy, yet monotonous day.
I played AC: Rogue most recently. Its the first time I refused to 100% the missions and, for the most part, skipped collectibles. I started off going for everything and was struggling to enjoy it and didn't feel motivated to play it. Granted, Rogue is a weak game in the series (alternate dev), but I still wanted the story (even though the script and voice acting was laughable at points).
I 100%d the missions and got 90%+ collectibles (in this order) in Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, and IV prior to that. It was kinda nice to be free and and pin myself in side-quest-purgatory at 90% mission completion to not "end the game too soon".
