Where is the “Watch the ad to get 1 gem” button?

[–] satanmat@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

1 gem???

Only 1?

Easy there Satan…

[–] purplemonkeymad@programming.dev 81 points 3 days ago (3 children)

No way, those gem costs are way off, they have to be just larger than one of the packs. Minutes would cost 550 so that you either need to buy 2 500s or a 1250 pack.

120 missed calls from EA

[–] CurlyWurlies4All@slrpnk.net 21 points 3 days ago

Then add a second currency for just 3 hour blocks that can only be bought in groups 5

[–] ThoGot@feddit.org 11 points 3 days ago

Or the packs are 450 and 950 gems

At first this wouldn’t load and was just the spinning thing but a bit longer than normal, probably because of some network issue on my part, but I thought for a bit that you had really expertly trolled me.

I mean the meme is good too, iap and subscriptions dumb (it would also absolutely have obtrusive ads) but man that would’ve been great

[–] mack@lemmy.sdf.org 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

yep same for me and was tempted to delete it, I think my Lemmy instance is a bit slow than the others

[–] hexagonwin@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 3 days ago

lemmy.sdf.org seems to be extremely buggy lately, I'm considering moving off to somewhere else :/

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

I thought it was a gif playing off using the pre-broadband download times as a clock

Once the image loads thats another minute complete

[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 2 points 3 days ago

I had this problem too! I was confused if it was the spinny thing the meme or it didn't load at all so i just copied the link and put it in my browser. It took ages to fully load in the browser too so i think the problem may be his instance

[–] Garbagio@lemmy.zip 32 points 3 days ago

This clock is bullshit. No skins? No emotes? Bro where's the Minecraft parlour in the background? This is ass.

[–] lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I unironically had an alarm clock app during uni that didn't work on Wednesdays. For a few semesters I had only late lectures on Wednesdays so it worked for me

[–] dbx12@programming.dev 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Lol, which phone doesn't come with an alarm functionality? Even the good old Nokia 3310 had one.

[–] lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I used the inbuilt alarm on Wednesdays. I have a deep sleep so I need more aggressive alarms to wake up early. I think it made you solve a puzzle to turn it off.

[–] dbx12@programming.dev 5 points 3 days ago

Ah I see, the damned slumber button.

[–] mang0@lemmy.zip 13 points 2 days ago

People will unironicallt say "You don't have to pay money if you don't want to. What's the problem?"

[–] 6nk06@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 days ago

Congratulations, you made me angry.

[–] WestVaginia@ani.social 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

lmao it’s always “free clock app” until it wants your location, contacts, blood type and the deed to your house. somehow the numbers still don’t even show up on time.

you forgot "time remaining for hours 1-9: 5:03 [refresh gems]"

[–] daw@feddit.org 5 points 2 days ago

Not accurate. In this case u don't need the faces for the clock to work fine. In the apps that isn't the case.

[–] ol_capt_joe@piefed.ee 3 points 3 days ago

Don't give them any ideas!
