It's the authoritarian way, as seen in pretty much any country who had it.

This feels like a pot country calling the kettle country black.

You think the Brits would do that? Appoint a single family to a powerful position of authority and let them just loot the national treasury generation after generation? Cause I find that very idea offensive and suspect you're just another Tankie Wumao Corbynite Bot.

Well, on the surface, what we got here.

Proekt is a good publication I did enjoy previously, they did a lot of longreads well before their total ban by local ISPs.

Russian people wouldn't know or care, because the "nepotism is everywhere" excuse or because they are blindly loyal to current regime. That has been seen in the coments about the monarchy-styled tasteless mansion Vovan built for himself using grey financing schemes. "Who wouldn't have done that with such power, he deserves that" ones I despise.

Other countries though - they would need to calculate what will happen with Vovchik's inevitable demise - and if positions of their relatives are supported by his influence alone, it means a lot of institutions with them in the management would fall into uncertainity. The spread of said practice means a world between a wet fart and a systemic collapse. That should be gamed with, in all details, in many war rooms.

I seem to be not even able to take these "water is wet" articles anymore like some sort of threshold has been reached.
