The message worked out fine. That’s why Trump is in the office.

The difference is that the voters start to realize they’re the poor when the message turned into action.

Exactly. They don’t care enough… Because he’s still alive.

It's not that. It's that he successfully convinced them to other so many groups they didn't realize they were going to be in Trump's cross hairs

That's not what Donald ran on.

He ran as an economic populist, which is why he won. (Even though he was lying.)

You're thinking of Harris, who 100% ran on making no substantial changes to the Biden agenda, even though that agenda resulted in people being significantly poorer.

That said, it's the cartoon's right. It's the Republicans 100% politicking in support of starving the American people, all so Donald can stuff more public cash in his own pockets even though he's wealthy beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Here's hoping all that McDonald's catches up to his fat ass soon.

The Nazis and Italian fascists made sure to spend on social programs and worker benefits to keep support from the population.

Trumpism does the opposite. Which will be their downfall. Can’t stay in power on hate and culture wars alone.

I hope you're right, but on the other hand let's not forget that Hitler started out by wooing the working class with socialist rhetoric, but got in bed with bankers and industry moguls as soon as enough of the working class was tricked into supporting him.

This is, in many ways, exactly what Trump has done too. His rhetoric was never socialist, but then the American working class has gone through 50 years of conditioning to ensure that capitalist rhetoric of a certain kind appeals to them more than socialist rhetoric.

The Nazis didn’t go through with their more radical socialist demands like land reforms. They also crushed the unions.

Huge state run job programs practically meant everybody had a job. There were rent freezes, expansions of health insurance, work accident insurance, cheap credit for newlyweds, etc. were expanded continuously. Kraft durch Freude allowed ordinary people to travel and go on holiday for the first time. Youth organizations were compulsory and offered a lot of learning, social activities, outdoor camping, hikes, music education and such.

The primary goal of the Nazis was a war of expansion. Their ideology only cares for the nation, not the individual. Industry leaders and all aspects of life had to follow the same ideology and who didn’t follow was crushed. Everyone is expected to sacrifice everything and dedicate their life to the leader, party, state.

Trumpism cares about making the rich richer, holding on to power, and some racist WASP supremacy one the side. Keeping their voter base happy or protecting them in materialist ways is not there.

Oh, don't forget the time where they made it illegal for stocks to go down

They won't change anything. This is going EXACTLY as planned. Republicans are waiting on a violent backlash. They NEED it so they can request more National Guard.

This is project 2025 ... the end of the US Constitution.

On that note I'm glad millions could protest during No Kings with not even a single incident to note.

What somewhat shocks me and I'm grateful for is that there were no false flags.

It's insane this is happening. If they provided this in the first place with the emergency funds, they could have convinced 42 million people on SNAP they were heroes.

Instead, they are fighting the legal requirement to do this... And now they've roped in the Supreme Court, once again underlining how broken that system is, in addition to the presidency.

The democrats have a clear path forward here. They just need to run a good candidate like AOC, instead of Biden 2.0 (Newsom), and they can dominate in the next election.
