Most jeans are sewn from Sanforized (pre-shrunk) fabric. Wearing them damp won't do much.

A whole new fascinating world to me
Then, I'll wear them for a few days before climbing into a warm bath in them and soak for 20 minutes. Once soaking is over, I slip out of the jeans and let them dry in the sun.
If you go for the look like the're painted on I say please yes...wear them wet ;)
