At JD's every couch is a love seat.

[–] muxika@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

The plastic on the furniture is for your protection.

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 9 points 3 days ago

Hmm polyester and fabric

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago

"...though you've had more people on you than my couch"
"Are you calling me a slut?"
"No, I'm just unlikeable."

"You smell like my ~~cou~~chas lounge."

[–] Curmuffin@fedia.io 2 points 2 days ago

She went to J. and she got the D.

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 3 points 3 days ago

Fast moving leather upholstery coming in HOT.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Hence the leather pants.

“I wanna be between your cushions.”

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 74 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Wow! That is moving fast. She is luring him in with her black leather pants. She loves power. He loves upholstery. He can't resist. GOP perversion/hypocrisy at its finest.

[–] Curmuffin@fedia.io 3 points 2 days ago

I'd have thought that Vance liked a bit more "cushion for the pushin'" than that. Guess he'll take what he can get. Which in this case is Charlie Kirk's professional widow.

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Correction, her upholstered black leather cooch.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 65 points 3 days ago (3 children)

So, he has to dump the brown wife, win full custody of his Christian kids, and marry the white widow all by early 2027?

I'm sure they can do that. We all know evangelicals don't give a fuck about any of this.

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 47 points 3 days ago

Those kids are not pure enough for his constituents. He will deliberately lose custody and then whine ahout how the system is biased against fathers.

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Public opinion is irrelevant. There's not gonna be legitimate elections again, and the oligarchs control the media the 99% consume.

Only 50% of Americans blame R's for the shutdown ffs. Wake up! The US is collapsing under the weight of its own corruption.

"Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid."

[–] edible_funk@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's been forty years with no bill in sight.

[–] phdepressed@sh.itjust.works 1 points 18 hours ago

It took 70 for the soviet union to collapse. The British Empire lasted a couple hundred before it started getting cut to size.

[–] Ancalagon@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Or the alternative...

[–] celeste@kbin.earth 56 points 3 days ago (1 children)

"No one will ever replace my husband," she told the crowd. "But I do see some similarities of my husband in JD— in Vice President JD Vance. I do. And that's why I am so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight."

Her husband's been dead five minutes and he's married. Gross.

[–] MojoMcJojo@lemmy.world 26 points 3 days ago

The hug, I could maybe understand, but that comment is either weird or performative. I'm leaning towards the latter, given her husband's background as a performative mouthpiece for the right. She seems like she's basically giving her and her dead husband's endorsement to this administration. They can't help themselves from jerking each other off in front of everyone. "It's ok that we act like this because we're doing it together." and "the left is trying to break us apart, if we don't stick together while we act terrible then we'll all be alone again."

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 43 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They are disappearing people illegally. Who gives a single flying fuck about the interpersonal relationships of these two ghouls? The only relationship they should have is with the other inmates in federal prison.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 10 points 2 days ago

I don't really give a shit about the East Wing either, but whatever catches people's attention and turns public attention against these losers is useful.

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 38 points 3 days ago (1 children)

"No one will ever replace my husband, but..."

-words uttered by no faithful widow, ever.

[–] BigPotato@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

He's dead, she can move on whenever she wants...

He, on the other hand, is still married and needs to at least have the balls to divorce his wife before he moves on her.

She's garbage but, in this situation, he's entirely responsible for his actions.

[–] AnimalsDream@slrpnk.net 25 points 3 days ago (4 children)

I dunno, seems like a stretch to me. This particular drama probably says more about our touch-averse culture, or starvation for constant political drama.

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 8 points 3 days ago

In isolation perhaps, though I'd consider the whole thing in poor taste regardless. The circumstances and timing doesn't exactly help however.

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 4 points 3 days ago

Projection is our favorite pass time

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sorry, did someone say Epstein files? 🤔🫩🤷🏼‍♂️

[–] AnimalsDream@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 day ago

Here's a more appropriate take.

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 1 points 2 days ago

Yep, plus I think it's pretty low to do this to a family who've just lost dad. If nothing else the kids don't deserve it.

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 24 points 3 days ago

Yeah, because that is how you hug a significant other. Weird shit going on behind the scene at a republican gathering.

[–] gnomesaiyan@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

The hand on the back of his head for a hug? ...yuck.

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 11 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Motherfuckers are trying to make Goebbels into Malcom X.

oh please, this is the republican version of an arranged marriage.

Here’s my conspiracy brain take. With turnips rapidly declining health, they know they need the next puppet to take his place. J.V. dunce is all they’ve got but his wife will never be accepted by the cult. So, this kirk shit happens and all of the sudden they have an already cult approved stepford wife, complete with a perfect sympathy story for cover (‘he was helping me with my grief and it just happened like it was meant to be from god!’).

If any of this happens, it just feels too cooked up, a desperate throw of the dice. But, I think the magats are just the right kind of stupid and evil for it to work.

This is all just insane ramblings of a bored nerd.

[–] edible_funk@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Go deeper conspiracy brain, Erika is actually a sexpionage handler positioning to be first lady.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

He has the hots for his Horst Wessel's wife.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

“You’ll convert to Catholicism for me, won’t you?”

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 7 points 3 days ago

I thought they were outraged by people disrespecting Charlie. And now his widow is disrespecting him like this not even 2 months later.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

JD & Erika sitting in a tree

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

First comes love

Then comes m̶a̶r̶r̶i̶a̶g̶e̶ JD divorces his brown wife & starts paying her child support

Then comes ̶a̶ ̶b̶a̶b̶y̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶a̶b̶y̶ ̶c̶a̶r̶r̶i̶a̶g̶e̶ Do whatever you want, JD & Erika. You're g̶r̶o̶w̶n̶ corrupt adults.

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 5 points 3 days ago

Of course we already knew that these people were utter failures as human beings and walking advertisements for the benefits of early abortion, but it's still unnerving to witness the abyssal depths they willfully sink to.

Then again, I suppose it's only to be expected from a bunch of bottom feeders.

[–] 1141kizzie@thelemmy.club 2 points 2 days ago

maybe they killed him for this or maybe it is one sider move by Erika

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

They fucking.

🤢

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca -1 points 2 days ago

If Shady's wife were a Christian then this never would have happened.

[–] LoveCanada@lemmy.ca -3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It appears no one here has lost a loved one. When you do, the people who show up for you are deeply appreciated. A 3 second hug is hardly an issue when someone has been there to help you reclaim and return your husband's body.

Yeah I gave her the benefit of the doubt initially too but watch her intro of Vance prior to this. Didn't strike me as a person mourning. Especially for her to directly bring up similarities between him and Vance.
