Him hanging out with Trump.
Ugh, that's disappointing.
I do not know much about them, but regardless of affiliations with trump, if they are famous, and they support lgbt folk, that is a good in my eye.
Not So much the hanging with Trump but how he said he watched the newest disney movie and didnt like how he had to explain to his grandson (or granddaughter) about LGBT. That disney should keep those subjects out of movies. Its not also an endorsement of disney from me but he said that about a month ago and now all of a sudden he supports?
As I understand, It is just a general old people people mindset. Most old folk consider all lgbt stuff to primarily have "dirty" or "impure" thoughts (they essentially look at this not from as an identity part, but more of them being just "pervy")(this as i understand is the general conservative idealogy - sex is taboo, but having "kids" is natural, you can have both). Not saying this justifies snoop dog's behaviour. I am not a fan or a hater, just do not know much about them, just explains how could they do that and then this. to them, all lgbt stuff is "not for kids" and completely look over the identity aspect of it.
His "support" is most likely a simple paid collaboration arranged by their team, and he does not care what it is about.
Why imo it is still uplifting is because there is some event organised for lgbt folk, and that is always a good in my book. it helps normalise them.
Didn’t Snoop just recently complain about Disney’s movie Lightyear showing same sex couples? He said he was scared of explaining it to his grandson. Guess he’s trying to fix the backlash.
Too bad he fucked up by playing Trumps inauguration.
Uncle Snoop came back from a murder charge in the 90s but Trump's crypto ball inaugural scam will stick forever.
Yeah I think this is a direct response to that. A lot of people pushed back, and called him out, including some fellow artists, and he apologized, said he got educated, and walked it back. Seemed genuine to me but who knows.
I enjoyed Snoop's stories about the goldfish bully and the 75 year old dancing, and Jeremy's story about the letter to the 2 dads in NY.
