Trump dead before Dec. 20, take your bets

[–] dipcart@lemmy.world 57 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

Christmas Day would be the ultimate present. Oh you don't like us celebrating on the day he died?? Who's waging a war on Christmas now?

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 10 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (2 children)

Evangelicals would claim it as their Jesus returning to heaven.

They'll put a giant memorial up in Washington for every American person to weep at and they'll track who comes to grieve and whether they have done so sufficiently to avoid the work camps that Dear Leader Vance will have built for disloyal citizens and degenerate queers.

I'd honestly put money on him not making it to term, but that might be the safe bet. The thing is, that leaves us with Vance.

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 14 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Vance is definitely easier to manipulate. So I honestly don’t know who is worse.

[–] degen@midwest.social 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I've gotten the feeling that Trump acts out of loving himself, while Vance explicitly wants to be awful. Both about as terrifying, but Vance seems more menacing in my mind.

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Vance himself isn't the problem insofar he's a symptom of the same disease Trump is one of. His ties to cryptobros and Peter Thiel, however, most definitely are.

[–] degen@midwest.social 3 points 3 weeks ago

For sure, and I was mostly considering them as individuals which admittedly isn't the most pertinent when the rest of the party is the way it is.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

You think Vance is easier to manipulate than the literal pedophile with a lifetime of compromat who consistently flips his convictions over who complimented him last????

I'm not saying Vance isn't easy to manipulate, I'm just saying I can't imagine there's an easier to manipulate human being over the age of 4 than Donald Trump.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Vance won't be able to capture MAGA any more than a used condom filled with Trump's diaper drippings would.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Eh.... Vance isn't the childish wanna be strong man that Trump is. He's an ambitious ideologue who has the backing of powerful wealthy men and will 1000% take advantage of the ground work towards authoritarianism that Trump laid. I wouldn't be shocked if he fails to inspire MAGA at large to fall in behind him. He'd probably fave a lot of opposition and other Trump wannabes in a future election, if we have any more of those. But he will definitely try to hold onto all that MAGA influence and he will likely succeed in at least getting Trump's cabinet and the Republican congress and SCOTUS to prop up his bullshit just like they did Trump. They'll be relieved to have a more predictable autocrat in charge. If he continues to undermine elections and the rule of law like Trump, well... I'm sure he doesn't hate the idea of being a young dictator for life.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm keeping an eye on Hegseth too

Yeah, dude is certifiable and would absolutely love to coup Vance's ass

[–] ccunning@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

JD has the charisma of a damp gym sock…

[–] echo@lemmy.tf 2 points 3 weeks ago

Vance is useless as fuck and is incapable of herding his republican cats. He was a joke before Trump and he'll continue to be a joke after.

[–] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 3 points 3 weeks ago

Has anyone made a website for him like the one for Kissinger? That way we can all bet and help a charity

Yeah and if the CK thing was any indicator of how it’ll go, the administration will milk it for all it’s worth. It’ll be gross.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I hope he dies in the stupidest, self-owning way possible, like tripping over his own feet and falling down some stairs. Preferably on camera.

[–] RandomlyGeneratedName@lemmy.world 41 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Please be dead. I think he’s done enough damage to his own cause that if he dies, the cult of personality will be broken. Vance won’t be able to keep it up. If Trump gets killed, he becomes a martyr and they rally around his causes, but dying of natural causes is more hopeful.

[–] fulcrummed@lemmy.world 15 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

If he died of natural causes, what makes you think that’s how the White House would report it. They’d say he was killed and use it to create a false divisive narrative, blaming some left wing conspiracy or assassin who doesn’t exist. They’d use it to galvanise maga behind Vance blah blah blah…

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 6 points 3 weeks ago

Even if they don't explicitly say it (which they will), the MAGA hordes will concoct their own conspiracy theories and believe them. After all, they are all QAnon alumni.

[–] deepfriedchril@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I feel we might even get a "Weekend at Bernie's" situation.

Gramps just needs his naps.

[–] don@lemmy.ca 13 points 3 weeks ago

He just needs one good dirt nap.

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 19 points 3 weeks ago

You did try checking the nearest golf course, right?

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 13 points 3 weeks ago

Accept nothing but a public appearance as proof of good health.

[–] MOARbid1@piefed.social 13 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

Let’s hope he strokes out on the shitter. Then we can just flush him.

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

May he live as a vegetable for two more decades, although his despicable family members will never have to suffer the indignity of changing his full diapers themselves.

[–] cfi@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

No, because then the cult of personality will live on for as long as he does. People will pretend to be the heirs to him, but the movement will live on for as long as he does.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I want it to happen on camera so I can bookend it with Charlie Kirk.

When Trump dies, how long do you think Stephen Miller will try to keep it quiet?

Trump needed the presidency to keep him out of prison. Steven Miller needs Trump's protection so 8 year old girls don't take his lunch money.

[–] normanwall@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I read the below recently from Millers wife and can't help but think that he is the lamest attempt at a villain I've ever heard of. Genuinely one of the most pathetic people I've ever read about.

"He is an incredibly inspiring man who gets me going in the morning with his speeches, being like, 'Let's start the day. I am going to defeat the left, and we are going to win,'"

[–] Bahnd@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Last time this happened, the indicators that something was up was Vance not being able to keep his mouth shut and tweeting about it. Along with a 300% increase in take out pizza orders at near the pentagon.

I cant imagine they are fully staffed right now, but if I find out something happened because an inordinary number of feds need to get late night pizza, Ill eat my shoe.

[–] ThunderQueen@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Like.. Raw? At least put some butter and seasoning on it

[–] desmosthenes@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago

"He had to have another stroke so that his face will droop on both sides," suggested Bluesky user Bob.

Dang, Bob. Nice one.

[–] echo@lemmy.tf 4 points 3 weeks ago

He's too busy having a weeklong fuckfest with Satan again. It's almost time for the baby.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Ask Vlad for the condition of his agent.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Arrest everyone in this administration

[–] selkiesidhe@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

He's just hiding like the fucking coward he is. He didn't like knowing all those smart successful people weren't willing to clap for his brilliance.

Remember how he much he desires to be acknowledged and thought highly of by those types.

[–] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 weeks ago

He was slurring his last big speech as well. This isn’t new. He has been doing this for a while. But it’s also the beginning of the month, time for some mystery IV injections.
