Some lemmy posts recently were saying digg was making a comeback. I found that difficult to believe. Now I’m not so sure.

They're definitely trying (https://reboot.digg.com/). Whether or not it'll actually comeback in any meaningful way is a different question...but it does seem like this is the best time to compete with reddit that there's been in like 15 years.
