Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Trump should be arrested as soon as he steps outside the Untied States

[–] greenbelt@lemy.lol 24 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Because of war crimes close to Venezuela, where they killed 11 people on an alleged drug vessel? I doubt anyone will arrest him for that in Great-Britain.

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 18 points 1 month ago (2 children)

14 people on two alleged drug vessels as of yesterday IIRC.

[–] greenbelt@lemy.lol -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Not that many compared to other wars.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

This isn't a war though, it's extrajudicial murder, for funsies.

Channel 4, you are as British as it gets. Thank you.

Just a quick reminder that they aired (and produced?) a season of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. A show I can't even begin to describe.

now let's all agree
never to be creative again

Is there more than one season?

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's a quote from one of the shorter videos they were doing on YT only before they made the full season for Channel 4.

The TV episodes are 6 and roughly 25min long each. It's all made up like a semi-educational children's show.

And to finally answer your Q, not to my or wikipedia's knowledge.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So that means there's two seasons?

[–] Boxwine@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Pretty much, a YouTube season and a channel 4 season

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 1 points 1 month ago

Yeah I didn't realize the earlier YT stuff was defined as a season.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

The question is whether this will be available outside the UK, streaming-wise.

[–] whoisearth@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago

Can they get the come dine with me narrator to chime in randomly between facts?

"Taxi!"

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 29 points 1 month ago

Noice.

BTW, this is from his previous London visit:

[–] Flamekebab@piefed.social 13 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I wouldn't want to be the one having to compile that video.

[–] SpikesOtherDog@ani.social 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

There are those who have been compiling these videos for years.

[–] Flamekebab@piefed.social 6 points 1 month ago

I really wouldn't want to spend that much time listening to this embarrassment of a human being talk.

[–] Cenzorrll@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

What do you mean? Just air every thing, and if you get to the end, livestream it.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

With all the lies, it will last longer than the visit itself. WAY longer.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 4 points 1 month ago

And even longer after they add the lies he spouted during his visit.

[–] Showroom7561@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

They're going to be airing that for next 20 years, because he's told a LOT of lies!

edit: grammar-policing myself.

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

holy shit he's still not a vegetable?

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 3 points 1 month ago
