There are many. My current e-bike is a Focus, made in Germany and using a German Bosch motor. Very happy with it. Generally not every single component will be European though, for example my bike's brakes are Shimano and the suspension is SR Suntour.

Quite a few. This is a list of bicycle manufacturers, there's a country next to each one. These days most make electric models.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bicycle_brands_and_manufacturing_companies

The trick is figuring out where the manufacturing is. Electric components like batteries and motors are usually imported, that can't be helped. Mechanical parts and assembly are often done in Europe. And even more are somewhere in between - for example frames from China, assembly in Europe.

  • Moustache (French). Mainly sports, mountainbiking. Produced in France. Lots of options, great for off road, but city too.
  • Cowboy (Belgian), luxury segment. Made in Belgium. Most beautiful design, tbh. Phone is chargeable on bike handlebar, battery easily removable. A bit of an ecosystem, though.
  • Mokumono (Dutch), heavily focuses on being 100% European-produced. Probably your best bet for fully European-made bikes.
  • Gazelle (Dutch) is also excellent. More expensive, but great labour rights, repair service, and quality. Produced in the Netherlands.
  • Lekker Bikes (Dutch), excellent customer service. Made in Europe and Australia. Most practical, imo.
  • Ampler (Estonian), lightest and USB-C-chargeable. EU-made. Best bang for your buck, imo, though the battery isn't removable.

There are certainly a lot more that are good too, but I listed the ones that pop up first in my mind. Lots of good suggestions from other lemmings here. For a more exhaustive list, see here.

Riese & Mรผller is probably the most popular (made in Germany from what I understand). We even see them here in Canada!

Pair them with Schwalbe tires (also German), Wippermann chains (also German!), and Grepp handlebar tape (made in Sweden using EU-sourced materials), and you're set!

In addition to what was said, there are a couple of Romanian brands as well:

  • The well known nationally Pegas
  • The lesser known but still relevant (saw them in a few shops) Carpat

Any examples? There are some out there who want us to believe only Chinese made electronics exist.

This is such a weird question because a link in the sidebar for a 'European product database' takes you to a site which has a category of 'e-bikes' (here), which is pretty exhaustive although there are probably some missing.

Sidebar? I'm on boost app, how do I even access the Sidebar
