Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

“Most people are saying, ‘If you call him a dictator, if he stops crime, he can be whatever he wants’ — I am not a dictator, by the way,” Trump said last month. He added, “Not that I don’t have — I would — the right to do anything I want to do.”

“‘I love the smell of deportations in the morning,’” Trump wrote on his social media site. “Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.”

And somehow this shit doesn't get him impeached...

Can you imagine if even this fascist-adjacent turd Dubya had said this? He would have had his ass dragged out of the White House in a New York minute. But somehow this is now acceptable for a sitting President to say. And all the other things...

Literally not a peep from anyone in Congress about it. This is what has become normalized.

Thanks to the media's constant sane washing

I’m a Chicagoan and all I can say is:

Epstein distraction

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 20 points 1 month ago

And also - I hope: "Bring it, you fat pedophile bitch."

Not much I can do to materially support Chicagoans from my country, but I know who I'll be rooting for, and it isn't the child-raper-in-chief or his bootlickers.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 13 points 1 month ago

Okay whatever is going to happen in Chicago is probably going to be higher stakes than the Epstein files.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 8 points 1 month ago

I think they actually found the way to stop the Epstein fallout from affecting them... I can't fucking believe MAGA is actually buying this bullshit that Trump was an FBI informant that helped take down Epstein... I mean, of course they would, they're a gullible cult, but still...

Now all the department of injustice needs to do is redact other prominent Republicans names, it won't matter that Trump is in there because it will "make sense" for an informant to be there... I think it's only a matter of time before they don't need a distraction.

Fight back (legally, if at all possible)

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 28 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'd say he used to be a wannabe dictator. Now, he's finally managed to achieve one single solitary thing in his sad life and have managed to become one. It's entirely typical that his one accomplishment is the one least worth aspiring to.

Well, I guess he's managed to ruin the US economy, reputation and international political capital too. Oh, and undermine NATO. And embolden Russia and China, and... Hey you know what? I guess that is actually kind of impressive in all the wrong ways. Nobody else could (or would) have done it, that's for sure.

Great things – terrible, yes, but great.

...Just hand me my wand, you old weirdo.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 month ago

"The War Department" president who went after his own citizens because that was the safest bet for a war coward.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

Seriously. Fuck these republican assholes

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Republicans: "Doesn't seem like anything to me."

[–] graycube@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

The city of Chicago needs to start some massive road construction project outside the gates to that Navy base.

[–] salacious_coaster@infosec.pub 5 points 1 month ago

This is fine 🫩
