Mapy.cz, or now also mapy.com apparenly, offer the best tool by far for people who go on foot or bike. I think google is still better as a car navigation, but as far as tourism goest i this has no match. City or countryside - it doesnt matter. Want to know where you can find a watterspout in a city? Info is there. Want to know where the nearest restroom is? Info is there. Tiny paths through every forrest or desert? Got it. Paraglide takeoff spot? Also. Every bench, childrens playground, large tree, powerlines, POI, bike trail, crosscountry skiing.

How is Mapy compared to Organic Maps on mobile?

I don't really use Organic Maps, but mapy works perfect on mobile in my experience. One big difference is that Mapy mimics the look of traditional paper hiking maps, which makes it much more convenient to read. Organic Maps has more of a standard OSM look, making it less convenient when you're using it as a hiking map.

I've been using maps.me, willing to try mapy.cz has anyone experience with both?

I second @swordfish@lemmy.world 's assessment with additional info: compared to Google Maps Mapy definitely does a better job navigating with offline maps. Car navigation in general is good, but sometimes tends to lead you on a "scenic route" to your destination. This, however, is constantly improving. I've been using this app for 4 years now and am very satisfied.
