Happened to me two days ago with altars of apostasy. I'm not sure if it counts as metal. It's tamer than oc's one. But Holy shit if it isn't still a wake up when it starts blasting at 5am. At least it wasn't the fall of math again.

Not as hard as either of y'all's, but it happened to me with Clutch, The Mob Goes Wild. Alt-metal/stoner rock. That's a fun song playing through my helmet at full blast riding the motorcycle through the countryside. Not as cool when I crank up the truck at 6am the next morning and it continues playing from my phone automatically.

Still a tune though. Return of the Swollen Goat was loud enough to raise eyebrows on this afternoon’s drive through town. I got myself pretty well this morning with Stitched Up by Barbarian Hermit. I’ve had the whole album on repeat for the last few weeks though, so that’s not too surprising

Yeah, that'll do it!

Honestly, the most surprising part is I was driving at that hour. I work from home so usually I roll out of bed at 745 and start working. If I get in the truck it's usually late afternoon to pick stuff up from home Depot or haul gear so that's why I disabled the control for automatically setting the volume. By the time I'm in the truck I'm ready to jam. Except that one day.

I think new cars automatically reset to a lower volume if it's too high when you turn the car off. I enjoyed this personally.

Unfortunately not all of them. It's such an easy thing to implement but is a HUGE QOL improvement.

Ha mine doesn’t. And frustratingly it continues playing before the volume control wants to be functional a few seconds after.

Just like how youtube starts playing the video before you have the ability to pause the video.

The ability to not do something should load before the something automatically does it's thing.

Mine's a new car, and it's like this too, at least from the steering wheel.

Mine doesn't, but it does have a feature where it adjusts the volume based on speed to compensate for road noise. It's pretty nice.

Daily thing in this house. In the evening, we usually watch a movie casted to the TV from the PC. First audio of the morning blows me out of my chair.
