I tried explaining antivaxxers to my immigrant grandmother and she just could not understand. Of course, she actually knew people who died from these diseases.

My own grandmother passed before it got to this level, and she was furious anyone would refuse vaccines.

She told me how children just stopped showing up for school and you just knew they were never coming back. They either died from the measles or were in an iron lung or the like.

We should have lost that designation long ago, and it should be the antivaxxers that are to blame.
