Would be even funnier with two "Allow" buttons.

One "Allow" and the other one "Nvm, we already know".

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 96 points 2 days ago (6 children)

Is that pic fucking real!?!?! He actually put his hands around kids that young and looked at them with that face, next to Epstein?

Holy Ravioli

[–] loutr@sh.itjust.works 93 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I'm convinced that Trump is a child rapist, but this picture isn't the smoking gun. They're in a NYC restaurant and the kids are his own, Ivanka and Eric maybe.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

... Doesn't really eliminate the possibility

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 34 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well that's not how we do things. Evidence first. We don't convict like fascists would.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 days ago (5 children)

I'm being honest here, if I had the opportunity to convict and imprison the Tangerine TurdNugget I'd do it immediately, without a seconds thought. And with zero guilt afterwards.

Hell, on the contrary, I'd feel absolutely elated about what I did every single day of the rest of my life. And I'm not even american.

he's been very open about how much he'd like to... do things... to Ivanka.

[–] damnedfurry@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Even if they weren't, you can't really glean anything reasonable from a candid photo like that. It's a fool's errand.

Imagine if a photo was taken when a child was walking by someone and tripped, but the guy grabbed the kid's arm and kept them from falling down. Timed right, a photo of that can be easily construed as the person forcefully dragging a child someplace.

It's absurdity. There's plenty that's much more worth everyone's attention, re Donald Trump's crimes, than interpreting candid photos.

[–] Mac@mander.xyz 72 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He had multiple rape cases filed against him and the one that i remember specifically was suddenly dropped right before the 2016 election.

[–] shplane@lemmy.world 55 points 2 days ago (1 children)

She dropped the case because of all the death threats she was getting from his cult

[–] HasturInYellow@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago

DOJ: These two things are completely unrelated.

Well I'm not a trump supporter

But putting hands on a kid's neck isn't supposed to be sexual

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 56 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's not just the government. There is a long list of billionaires in those documents. It would be a genuine eat the rich moment, and chunks of MAGA would help. It would collapse the whole system.

And yes, it needs to happen.

love the bite dems seem to develop now. Solidarity from Europe, One Love <3

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 50 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Unfortunately, most dems aren't biting like this. And Mamdani hasn't even won his general election yet (he's only won the Democratic primary so far).

Most elected dems are just biting the curb.

[–] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 30 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They're biting the pillow, it's the American public being forced to bite the curb.

This isnt by the Mamdani that's running for mayor. It's a random using that name.

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Man, get yer pesky truth out o 'ere. It's 2025! And this is a screencap of a blue checkmark!

[–] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Mamdani is running for mayor of NYC, but governor Mamdani would be nice.

Old guard Dems don't want to release it. Only people likebm Bernie, AOC and madamni want to release it.

Based if that is really from zohran. Also very true

[–] drbluefall@toast.ooo 36 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It is from a Zohran Mamdani, but not the NY State Assemblyman Zohran Kwame Mamdani (who is @zohrankmamdani on Twitter)

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (2 children)

yeah we wouldn't have to go this deep if the checkmark didn't lose its fucking meaning thanks to the troglodyte in charge

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

To be fair, the entire platform lost its meaning when Nazi Musk bought it.

I feel like there's an easy solution. Fill the twitter servers rooms with lye and tell Musk it's coke so he snorts it.

[–] Schadrach@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 2 days ago

It lost it's meaning before that.

It started as "we have confirmed you are who you say you are, public figure", and that was it.

The some Twitter features were pegged to it.

Then it spread.

Then it also somehow became a "Twitter approves of this message" flag, as some people were stripped of their check for posting offensive things (probably most notoriously Milo).

Then Twitter staff started expediting the process in exchange for essentially bribes.

Then Elon buys Twitter.

Then it just became a subscription service, with enhanced features over non-check users.

Honestly, my fear is that if it does get released, the government will try and normalize it and the public going along with it. I fear for all the daughters and women out there.

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

And yet a maniac took an AR-15 to a pizza place in DC because "the Democrats" were running a sex trafficking ring out of the basement.

I don't know about that, pedophiles are universally hated across the political spectrum with only pedos supporting them.

An attempt at normalisation wouldn't bare any fruit and would further alienate the audiences of the media that try to push it.

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 10 points 22 hours ago

I think this is a pretty naive take. Remember how Nazis were hated by everyone except some fringe groups?

[–] piccolo@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

People maybe vocal about hating it because the perception is thats its not accepted in society. Just like theres plenty of bigots, but they keep quiet about their racist remarks unless they think they amoungst the 'in group'.

Just think how big the uproar when it was found out the Southern Baptists was covering up sexual abuses within their org. What, you dont remember the big uproar? Because there was basically none.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 3 points 12 hours ago

People only get het up now if it's men raping little boys.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 4 points 12 hours ago

How many timss have you heard from the Manly Men influencers that women in their 20's are 'past their prime'?

They've been shifting the window the entire time. For a country like the US that already gets weird about teenaged girls and has childhood beauty pageants, it's really not going to take as much as you think.

[–] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

It's not as extreme but they have managed to normalise a President being involved in open corruption, so I wouldn't rule it out.
