I mean, back then? Hell, yeah... But at this point I'd only expect a weird shoehorned story with some of the old actors a la Picard and I think I can live without that

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

Yeah, just give me Captain Seven of Nine (with Raffi as head of security, I love that character dynamic) and a completely new story arc. Sure chuck in a few cameos but make them mostly inconsequential to the main arc.
And they were marketed as movies. Especially The Killing Game which, unless something happened recently, is still the single most expensive episode of network television ever produced.
Except of course people are hankering for a reunited cast. And it never got things like a soundtrack, or a film director, or film credits, or a cinema release
I love Voyager, but of all Treks it's the hardest to make a move of. Their whole thing was to get home and... they did! You can't have 'We need to reunite the old gang to get home from the Delta Quadrant one last time'.
This is all said tongue in cheek of course. Imagine if you will, similar to Picard's vision of the Borg at the beginning of ST First Contact
Janeway wakes up in a cold sweat, having just had a series of bizarre flashes and voices..."Mummy, Daddy...help usssssss!"
After downing a cup of coffee, Janeway asks the computer for the whereabouts of Tom Paris. As the computer processes her request, a call comes in on the monitor, it's Tom, looking stern. "Tom, I heard from them...", he replies, "I know, I just had something weird happen, like I was at Warp 10 again."
"What can we do?" she asks, "I'm retired and no access to a starship. This new generation of slipstream drives could get us to the Delta quadrant quickly, but then what?"
"Harry and Belanna have some ideas..."
It could combine the best and worst elements of TWOK (revenge), TSFS (heist movie), TVH (ecology) and of course TFF! ("What do salamanders need with a starship? And marsh mellons?")😄
Star Trek XI: The Voyage to the Salamander Babies.
Star Trek XII: Wrath of the Salamander Babies.
You could stick it in the middle somewhere. A side story we didn't see on screen. Or, they could remake Year of Hell or something.
Star Trek: Voyager - The Movie - The Year of Hell - The Hellening
The only plausible movie script for the Voyager cast now would be Admiral Janeway getting a premonition of the Borg Queen (the one she killed) not being completely dead and amassing an armada of infected Borg to wipe out humanity. She would then have to comb the Alpha Quadrant for her old crew and one by one reassemble them on the new Voyager-A, a ship specifically designed to traverse the galaxy and fight the Borg. Defeating the old, now insane, Queen would require allying with the Free Borg led by Hugh (let’s say this takes place an few years before Picard) and Janeway herself making the ultimate sacrifice to finish the job and get everyone else back home.
This is my new head canon. My only note: we need a compelling reason to get the band back together. Like they all have special latent Seven Derived nanobots in their system that needs them all to come together.
