There's zero reason to take credit away from the bum fights guy for his own brand of trash, but you can definitely say you mean Dr. Phil, the guy who saw profit and value in doing a bit with the bum fights guy for views.
You are correct. They are equal parts trash, one just had a national TV show he spewed his "folksy" wisdom on.
They both exploit desperate people for profit, but one of them is honest about doing so. The other one is just misery porn camouflaged as therapy.
I agree but that's not his worst evil on our society. It's the torture camps he sent kids to and promoted.

This original concept of the movie was scrapped after they were told they would all have to actually start on HRT and progress to the point that their metabolic panels came back showing they were now within whatever parameters that local/minor league used as their definition of 'sufficiently transitioned', and none of the crew/actors would do it.
So, they made it into a fucking terrible 'comedy' movie instead.
Shapiro is on camera admitting this, laughing the whole time, utterly missing the fact that... that this happened basically destroys 99% of the 'facts and logic' he uses to generate his rhetoric regarding trans folks.
