It's been a while, i think, and yes, it was a pos move.
Ah yes, the "windows app" I remote into Linux on. That's like an ex naming a kid after you levels of crazy.
Microsoft has the WORST product people
Capitalism's innovative creativity on full display.
Can anyone recommend a Remote Desktop client for macOS, preferably something free and with tabs?
What will it take for them to finally lose market share?
When Windows 12 is also sucks.
TBF, they are probably losing a little bit. I'm in the process of jumping to Linux, and I started on Microsoft operating systems at age 4.
I haven't found Microsoft Documentation for anything since Word for Mac 5 on my Apple Centris 650 in 1992, and I only had that because it came in a printed book.
So this is on par with the Microsoft way: Let other people charge you for outdated help.
Oh, those sad, sad motherfuckers. My only concern is too many Linux Immigrants. Stay in your shitty corporate hell. It's not like there's any other option. /s
Will it still be port 3389? I think that’s what it is but I’m too lazy to look it up.
i usually press win+r and type 'calc' or 'cmd'. they could make that more efficient by assigning binary numbers to everything.
Wait. Is this a push to use their AI more? Like i can't google for Remote Desktop help with the new name easily anymore so i would use the ai, which already sees that i opened the app and has a context advantage?
On Mac at least, you can rename the app back to Remote Desktop. Microsoft sure is dumb as a bag of bricks these days.
