Why does it feel like everyone is falling in line for this genocide? History will not look back kindly on the way the world watched as this happened. At least (and this isn't much of an excuse) other genocides werent on the news every day as our leaders and institutions sat by and silenced any dissent.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.

Because vast majority of voters do not care what happens in Gaza.
This has more visibility than Sudan, Myanmar, Congo, etc. But its a problem in a far away land.
So few people (in th US) can wag the dog.
If they just wouldn't care, they would leave the people who speak up alone. But they are actively repressing and attacking them
This is more what I mean. This is beyond people not caring and not voting. This is normally liberal institutions supporting genocide and silencing dissent. It's just a whole other level.
Majority of people do not care, but certain very vocal and very rich people do care. AIPAC, wacky evangelical leaders who believe in end times, national security types who see Israel as paramount to US security in MidEast, etc. They get to influence policy because majority will not push back on their policy because Gaza is an afterthought.
This is their Colonizer pet project. Of course, they're going to silence everyone

Fwiw, these attacks on 1A are why I consider Israel to be a direct enemy to the American people. This is having a materially negative effect on Americans.
You can criticize Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and whoever else no problem. But the government has a tantrum when people start criticizing and boycotting Israel.
