"Literally and figuratively" - Trump
There's no fucking way he knows what either of those words mean, he has a 3rd grade vocabulary.
Only the best words.
The later increases the supply of the former.
I thought Congress controlled the pursestrings.
Are people just rolling over and taking this?
Yes and yes.
Sure. And when the treasury doesn't send them more money because Trump said so what then?
Riots in the streets because Wait! Wait! Dont’t Tell Me ran out of funding.
But I need to hear the silky smooth Bill Curtis every week.
Amen to that.
Depends whether you consider Congress people.
My local NPR station has already sent an email out to all it's underwriters and sponsors about this threat.
I would say that every public radio station has little faith in Congress at this point. Having worked myself in public radio for several years, I would say that their concern is completely justified.
I'll be increasing my donation this month. And the next.
Take any one of Trump's actions alone 20 years ago and he would have been impeached, now its just Friday.
Heck, being impeached would be just Friday for him, since there's no teeth in it.
it's almost like Trump has no idea what he's doing
This is project 2025 to the T. They know exactly what they're doing, and have poured lots of money into this plan.
It's Bannon's flood the zone with shit, only better planned and funded this go around.
Yeah, except defunding public broadcasting, and undermining media is step two in an authoritarian play book. Seems to be accelerating their attacks on democracy from here. Buck up.
No. Just ignore him
Hmm, I wonder if there are any historical examples we can turn to to examine the outcomes when a government dismantles publicly funded and managed media...

Elmo has a particular set of skills
Elmo will cut a bitch.
