Wanting to own and control so much money that you could not realistically enjoy it all during one single lifetime is a mental disorder.

Wanting to horde all that wealth and keep expanding it at the cost of millions of people's lives is a psychotic mental disorder that will kill us all.

Yes, those people deserve to be put in a nice facility where they can receive the best psychiatric treatment until they're deemed fit to return to society, when they're no longer a threat to others.
