Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

Does the Proton VPN iOS app route all DNS queries through the tunnel, and ultimately to their DNS servers, on both cellular and Wi-Fi?

I figure WiFi will for but I only have a very basic understanding of how cellular data works and I am pretty new to the privacy conscious networking game. So maybe this is a stupid ass question but I’d appreciate any insight!

P.S. this is my first real post into the fediverse! Be gentle.

I remember hearing a couple different times over the years that iOS leaks data even with VPNs on. Here's one article for example.

Apparently this is a tough problem for mobile devices... GrapheneOS (security hardened OS based on Android) took months to fix a leak someone reported, and had to collaborate with the VPN app providers to do it https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/3442
