That... really feels like something hardware should have been doing, but okay.
Yeah... If I remember right Linus or someone high up in Linux development has mentioned before how much they have to do to fix hardware issues and security issues in hardware.
I think it's the consequence of releasing new hardware every year rushed, instead of making actually improvements that would take time.
