This person knew what Project 2025 was and just refused to believe it. This is exactly what they voted for.
They thought they were voting for a power fantasy but that's not what they were actually voting for.
They were voting for a power fantasy, they just didn't realize it wasn't their fantasy.
What's even worse was the people on the left disparaging those who were warning about Project 2025 as paranoid and hysterical.

The Young Turks were an example though I don't have a specific link. There was plenty of pooh-pooing from the center left.
