NOTE: This feature is currently being rolled out to the Apple and Google stores and should be available in the next day or two. However on desktop you can try it out right now (after enabling - see below) at https://vger.app/!

This is currently in BETA, and is turned off by default. On tablets and desktop, you can turn it on in Settings -> Appearance -> Layout. (The setting won't show up on phones.)

The right column is dedicated to viewing a specific post. The left column is for the regular navigation of the app.

Pro tip: On macOS, I recommend adding Voyager to your Dock (https://vger.app/) with Safari's new "Add to Dock" feature! Check out the above screenshot - it's quite slick.

I love it, this feature made me use Voyager on the desktop! Just one small nitpick. When you click posts in the inbox (and maybe other places as well) they don't open in the right pane, they stay in the left.

Unrelated but since I am here already here, it would be great if voyager gets a feature that combines posts with the same links in post list, like some other front ends do. Removes a lot of noise which I really like.

Already fixed! ^^

What clients? Iโ€™m curious their implementation. Iโ€™ve always been a bit skeptical of this, for things like the same link being posted in cars and fuckcars communities.

Hm, I am not seeing the fix, when I click your last message in my inbox for example it just opens it in the left pane. Also when I then click "View All Comments" they all stay in the left pane. Do you mean it's internally fixed already but not yet deployed?

https://piefed.social/ combines the posts and there was a t least one other web client I saw which does it as well but I can't find it at the moment.

Oh yeah, I meant I have that on a local dev box. I didn't do the "View All Comments" button yet though, I think that makes sense so I'll add.
