Okami is good but frankly overrated. Dialogue is so slow huge portions of the game, particularly the intro, are a slog to get though. That plus a weird setting doesn't translate well to mainstream adoption (read: sales).

I feel like the dialogue and the world capture a vibe that is basically unparalleled, but I agree that it’s too much. The pacing just feels so slow sometimes. Maybe the reboot will strike a better balance.
