I actually expressed a very similar sentiment to my SO recently... Don't get me wrong, I'm as pacifist as they come, but at the same time if one finds out one has cancer we don't exactly just try to negotiate the tumor(s) away, do we? Ironically enough, it seems the one thing you can't be tolerant of is intolerance.
If you try to work with the cancer, eventually it's just going to take over, so... Sucks for the cancer, I guess, but that means it gets excised. If it didn't want that outcome then maybe it shouldn't have been ~~so orange and fascist-y~~ such an unrepentant, deathly toxic piece of shit entity.
Or, as I like to put it: "Play shitty games; Win shitty prizes."
Pacifism doesn't mean 'no violence ever.' It means that violence is the last resort.
