Also, before announcing their streaming platform, they disabled the feature where you can stream from your real PC. It was called nvidia Gamestream and has been revived by the "Sunshine" and"Moonlight" projects. It works great, even over the internet. Only adding 7-10ms with a wired connection. I've used it myself for years.
So without the Sunlight and Moonlight projects they would have succeeded in killing the superior technology which would have competed with the one you have to pay monthly for.
