It’s easy! They create these seemingly harmless micro-credit (yeah, let’s call it that) loans so that we can afford them! No chance that folks will get caught up in the cycle of them needing to borrow money to cover their multiple micro-credit weekly payments! But don’t worry, your mobile payment app also happens to offer a “borrow” feature, that is definitely not effectively the same thing as a payday loan, that helps to pay for the micro-credit loans that you took out to cover the grocery bill. Fees for the loan, and fees for borrowing the money to pay for the loan.
I, with my terrible impulse control, absolutely did not get caught up in that cycle. I’m not currently about half way through paying it all back. I do not want to know how much money I’ve ended up spending in fees. Hopefully I learned a lesson? I’ve always been bad with money, so probably not.
