IRIX is a discontinued operating system developed by Silicon Graphics (SGI) to run on the company's proprietary MIPS workstations and servers. It is based on UNIX System V with BSD extensions.

Close enough I'd say. After all, she didn't say "this is UNIX", she said "this is a UNIX system".

Which would have been pretty in keeping with Hammonds spared no expense but actually cheaper than f out especially book Hammond.
