Honestly, this doesn't feel different to me than using the cross as a holy symbol for Christians. Both are very weird culty behaviours, but not much different. Although at least Christianity has the centuries long traditions, history, and international numbers to justify their behaviour. The tent thing without that context makes it extra weird.

Are these chucklefucks gonna start wearing little tent necklaces?

Well Western Christianity was also a social construct designed to control the masses into working against their own interest... rather fitting.
