Except we don't put crosses on ballot papers here. Where we use cardstock ballots at all, we fill in bubbles. Otherwise it's various machine markings.
everyone understood the reference. it was fine
Is it a meme reference? I didn't get any results. Crosses mean a lot of things in the US, especially to MAGA types, but it's too much for us to hope they're putting them on ballots because it would invalidate them.

That's part of the problem. We gave up on electronic voting years ago, as no electronic voting system is compatible with democratic voting.
