@twopi@lemmy.ca They had to, it's the law. Which is probably too lenient for such cases. One slip and hopefully he's back in crowbar hotel. Prohibition on drinking, drinking establishments and drugs. So be on the lookout for this child predator.

@twopi@lemmy.ca It takes voters to tell their MPs that they want changes. Enough folks do it, they'll take notice.

Statutory release is not a bad thing. Many parolees use it to its fullest effect and don't break the rules imposed on them during parole. They live in transitional housing and are monitored by housing staff and parole officers.
