You're not wrong.

"the economy" is codeword for rich people getting money for not doing anything.

ie, welfare for the superrich.

when state focuses on stock market numbers going up rather than public welfare or sustainable growth. it's just funneling public money and institutions to feed the never ending greed of the rich. then sanitise it by calling it "the economy"
