Hate to break it to you but most of EU doesn't do jury trials at all. Calling this authoritarian is dumb as fuck
Maybe look at the context surrounding why they are getting rid of them and the differences in legal systems across EU members.
Neither does Canada.
What are you talking about? Canada has jury trials.
