Seriously, like these aren't humans making their own food decisions, they depend entirely on their owners for food. How exactly are drugs like this supposed to help the human to stop overfeeding them?

Not defending overfeeding pets. This is for people that free feed their pets and don't want the hassle of having to measure out food at specific times because it's inconvenient.

We struggled with that transition when our cat got a bit fat so we did automated feeders. Which cost about as much as a month of those medications...

Guess the food in their bowls will sit uneaten or when they get fed junk (human) food they'll just not be interested?
