I think they were trying to white ballance off his shirt collar?

Yeah, they're clearly walking in and setting up a tripod, was probably an accidental zoom even.

Just fucking ridiculous it's in the video.

The whole thing is crazy, they just asked Mamdani if trump was a fascist...

Mamdani tried to give a diplomatic answer, and trump just laughs and said "just say yes, it's easier" and moves on with a smile.

Like, I've legitimately never seen trump as president happier than this video. I'm 15 minutes in, and he hasn't dozed off and when he doesn't know an answer he just lets Mamdani do it.

This is exactly why people shouldn't resign in protest, people like trump are easily steered, and it's better than leaving him surrounded by the worst of society if you can pull him back

Trump laughing and blowing off being called a fascist looked like the way he was before he become president. He's always been a raging asshole and narcissist, but he used to understand the value of using self-deprecation to play to a crowd.

With an exception for talking about his supposed money. Anything remotely close to saying he didn't have the money he claimed was met with extreme responses.

People that actually have that much money don't talk about it. They just use it to their advantage. The ones that don't, try to flaunt the little they have and make it seem like they have a bunch more. Often being up to their eyeballs in various types of debt. This is almost certainly where Trump has been most of his life, hence all the random ventures to try and make quick cash from grifting.

They’re pulling focus for sure, but also probably for white balance.

No, the lights are already balanced for broadcast at either of the standard temps, which they can flick a switch to. They’re setting a focus baseline. As the lens zooms in the depth of field gets narrower, so if you make it sharp there you know it’ll definitely be sharp when zoomed out.
