It's amazing to me that Dems are always handcuffed by the "rules," but Republicans ALWAYS find ways to avoid them and get ANYTHING they want.
Weak excuses for the destruction of democracy on their watch.
Schumer pretended to be handcuffed by the parliamentarian once, that was my favorite.

There was no requirement at all that they followed the parliamentarians advice. She is an advisor, who can be bypassed instantly by whoever controls the senate. They dont even need to call a vote on it. Dems controlled the senate at his time. Schumer just wanted some process to blame for their capitulation.
Then they pretended that they were disappointed with the "ruling" and vowed to bravely continue the fight.
"The role of the parliamentary staff is advisory, and the presiding officer or Senate may overrule the advice of the Parliamentarian"

I despise Chuck Schumer. I will never forgive him for stabbing Al Franken in the back.

Yeah same. Franken was a good guy, maybe thats why they didnt support him.
My point was that, even within the rules (both spirit and letter), Biden had the time and opportunity to get rid of DeJoy if he'd wanted to.
Biden didn't want to.
