She has had a horrible life since being a child, had fetal alcohol syndrome, and has been in the system her whole life, but...

Her first decade or so in the federal prison system was punctuated by multiple convictions for hostage-takings, assaults, extortion and forcible confinement. Victims included other inmates, but also prison guards and a nurse.

She used the tweezers to also threaten herself. She said she thought she was going to die.

If released, she is violent to others and herself. This won't end well. She was eligible for parole since 2018, but never applied. She needs to be treated as a medical case, not criminal.

Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines. I was disappointed when I read that she has been eligible for day release for so long and hasn't applied for it.
