There’s whole sections of the Torah that gleefully recount the Hebrew invasion and destruction of cities.

They make children sing the glories of the Battle of Jericho in Sunday school. A battle that ended with the deaths of everyone in the city.

Yeah, the Old Testament/Torah is horrifying. People really should actually read it.
