It’s because Schumer worked to get this to happen, then bowed out at the end so he could pretend he had nothing to do with it.

What have you read that proves that to be true?

He was the architect and the driving force behind this capitulation.

So people are downvoting MiddleAgesModem for falling for a blatantly obvious attempt by Schumer to redirect blame.

I have more upvotes than downvotes, in case you didn't notice. Maybe not everyone agrees with your unsubstantiated accusations. Some of us still need proof to form our opinions. You disregard proof so you can maintain your inflexible opinion.
