a "first-of-its-kind" joint operation against "narcoterrorism," the Dominican Republic's National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) and Navy worked with the U.S. Southern Command to intercept a speedboat suspected of drug trafficking. The U.S. military destroyed the vessel in a strike approximately 80 nautical miles south of Beata Island.
Dominican authorities then recovered 377 packages (approximately 1,000 kg or 1 ton) of suspected cocaine from the wreckage.
Officials believe the drugs were en route to the U.S. via the Dominican Republic as a transit point. This is just one instance...children love to lie...
